Yew Lodge Hotel

With this ad the customer wanted to create an ad which was specifically for Christmas/ New years, so I chose a gold and black colour scheme with the text and used a Script font to emphasise the Christmas and a simple serif font for the rest of the advert. I used this image to fill up the empty space and it also fitted in with the colour scheme and added some red which has a nice effect on the overall feel of the ad. I used inDesign to create this ad and Photoshop to convert the image to CMYK.

Shape 'N' Style

With this ad the customer provided the text and asked to make it look pretty. Knowing this, I used a lilac and pink colour scheme and a serif font. I used two iStock images to represent the 'hair and beauty' individually. I used InDesign to create this ad.

Chef in My Kitchen

With this ad the customer provided the text and the images. I used the same colours as their logo to keep the consistency and it stand out and appear more obvious that those are the company colours. I placed the images at the top so it's one of the first thing that attracts the reader. I used blue banners at the top and bottom to highlight what the advert is about. I used a picture of a knife at fork in the background so the bottom of the ad stood out a bit more. I used the transparency tool in InDesign so it didn't draw attention away from the text. I used InDesign to create this ad and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

The Beauty Spot

With this ad the customer provided the text and two of the images used. I found the other i,age of the crystal pedicure of Google images; their one they provided was too low res. I used a pink floral background so it separated the company logo/ details and it also makes the ad stand out a lot more. I uses the eyedropper tool in InDesign to make the pinks match to the floral pattern in the ad so it stayed consistent. I used InDesign to create the ad and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

Pooch Palace

With this ad the customer provided a previous ad which was landscape and they wanted to keep the same style, colours etc. but wanted to make it portrait. I used Adobe Illustrator to take parts of the ad apart (the text.) I also used Adobe InDesign to put the ad together. I used Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK. I got the paw prints off Google images and increased the transparency so they faded into the background.

I.N. Sheds Ltd

With this ad the customer provided  the text and the images of the sheds. They asked for us to make it have a Christmas feel so I stuck a Santa hat on top of the S. I used a red colour scheme because it's a Christmas colour and it's bright.I also used a red banner at an angle to make the Christmas offer stand out more. I used InDesign to create this and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

Cranberries

With this ad the customer provided the test and images and a previous ad they had created. I left aligned the text so I could make the images more prominent. I used a black strip at the bottom of the ad because the background of the logo is black. I used red for the title so it matched their cranberry in the logo. I used InDesign to create this and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

Custom Blinds Ltd

With this ad the customer provided the text  and images. They also provided us with a previous ad they had, but didn't like it and wanted something completely different:

I used a blue colour scheme because it's fresh and new; it also goes well with the images the customer supplied. I used a 3D sticker effect to promote the 20% sale. I also used a reflection technique on the images to add more colour and make it s little different. I used InDesign to create this and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

Sparkle Reiki

With this ad the customer provided the text and the bottom image. I used a purple colour scheme from the image the customer supplied. I used bold headlines to make them more noticeable. I used a white banner so it's clear to the reader who they are and what they do without reading all the text. I used another image of crystal healing stones in the background at the top half of the ad, so it filled up the empty space and added subtle colours into the ad. I used InDesign to create this ad and Photoshop to convert the images to CMYK.

Tiny Tatz

With this ad the customer supplied the text. I used a red colour scheme; it's bold and vibrant.
I used a red banner across the middle to advertise that new customers are welcome because I felt that was relevant. I used a line drawing of a sleeve tattoo in the background which I found on Google images. I used another red banner for the number as that's one of the most important things to advertise... I used InDesign to create this; Photoshop to convert the image to CMYK.

Paul Dishman Photography

With this ad the customer provided the text and a choice of two images I chose this one as I felt I could achieve more with it. The customer asked for a monochrome ad  so to make things stand out I used subtle grey colours. I used a gradient effect at the top of the image to give it a smooth edge and blend nicely into the writing above. I made the numbers bold so they're more obvious to the reader. I used InDesign to create this and Photoshop to convert the image to CMYK.
